The new API SM standard provides improved compatibility over the previous API SL requirements and former API standards. API SM lubricants offer outstanding oxidation resistance, better anti-deposit protection, enhanced engine cleanliness, improved anti-wear protection, and enhanced performance at cold temperatures throughout the oil's lifespan.

The 0W-20 grade helps minimize oil hydrodynamic friction, allowing for better fuel economy, particularly when the oil is cold. It improves oil flow at startup, faster oil pressure buildup, quicker rev raising, and faster reaching of operating temperature. These oils can help reduce fuel consumption and consequently minimize greenhouse gas emissions.
